Transforming Surfaces, Defining Excellence

WHY I STARTED VAPOUR BLASTING

As a long-time restorer of vintage and classic motorcycles and the occasional car, I found that I was spending the majority of my time cleaning up old parts, from de-greasing to rust and paint removal, using anything from diesel, petrol, de-greaser, vinegar, to wire brushes and paint stripper. I wasted hundreds of hours and obtained an average result. After watching many YouTube videos on vehicle restoration, I came to realise that Vapour blasting seemed to be the way to go. I sent in the components of a striped motor from a Citroën 2CV that I was in the process of re-building to a local Vapour Blaster. The motor had been in storage for 18 years and looked pretty sad. When I collected the parts a few days later, they were so clean that the owner was convinced that I had spray-painted them silver. I also noticed that there were very few Vapour Blasting companies in Pretoria East, so I decided to set up Shop in Murrayfield, to be able to provide a service in the Pretoria East area. There is no other process out there that would have ever given me these results and from then I was hooked. What would have taken me days on end to do, can be achieved in half an hour in a Vapour Blaster with the result being exponentially better than anything I could ever achieve. The fact that Vapour Blasting is non-abrasive also means that I can Vapour blast plastic, chrome or any other components without causing any pitting or damage. Being a perfectionist (to the point of OCD!) I now Vapour Blast every single part and my restoration results have moved into a completely new league.
